Fantastic temple indeed. Whether a temple is grand or not it is the mindset of the devotees that ultimately make it a great place.

Dear Editor,
Thanks for publishing the book review on Hinduism Simplified. I am pleased to inform you that the book has been reprinted with minor additions and also that the book is now available in Kannada language as well. We are hoping to translate in as many languages as possible. It is meant to be a budget neutral venture for me and if any organizations or individuals want to buy in bulk (more that 10 copies at a time) I am willing to 'sell' them at cost price of USD 2 per copy plus shipping cost of whatever I spend.
Many Thanks
Anup

If they want to be known as Malaysian, they should be loyal to their country and if they live in a theocratic Islamic state, they better fall in line.

India embraces all who seek shelter from her, however, not many are keen to return. Malaysian Indians were born in Malaysia, patriotic as it may seem they want to be recognised as a Malaysian rather than an Indian!

Anyway, Kudos to the entry above:)

Original Poster,

I find your post interesting. I think you also need to read other posts by "Hindu Atheist" and "nitwitnastik" on their own blogs. They might come across as being "west"-washed or anti-Hindu in their opposition but my understanding after reading their other posts is that they are simply trying to refute false claims of science in ANY religion.

Then again what I got from your post might be different from what these guys read. I read it as if you were presenting our own view of our history that has often been misrepresented by the western (Mueller, et. al.), Islamic and other factions.

"Hindu Atheist" asked "Even if Mahabharata actually happened, then what? What advanced civilization are we talking about?". HA, I do see your frustration.

Metaphorically speaking ...
The conversation starts with "...we were there long before anybody else, we had these small time gadgets and might end with we definitely had planes and maybe even the transporter...". But I don't think that was the overall purpose of the OP. OP stopped at "we were there". So let us wait for him to get to "we definitely had planes".

OP originally said "...India could have had an advanced civilisation thousands of years before their civilisation started". Note the use of *could* and give OP the benefit of doubt. Having said that, maybe you have read more posts from OP to the contrary. In that case, you might have prior knowledge of where this was heading.

We might all have more in common than we think. Let us learn from each other, develop an understanding and stay away from personal attacks. I like reading different perspectives - preferably unbiased.
